I talked with the Star Tribune today so I expect to get some “ink” on the Senate’s passage of SF 1750 when it publishes on Thursday. Until then, we’ve seen a few legislative links that are congratulatory in nature to the “job well done” in passing the “HOA Bill of Rights.”  I’m not going to lie — the whole thing is exhausting to me.  But we trudge along and will do our absolute best to keep members informed.  The next step is the Gov’s desk.

From MN Senate Republican Caucus:

The Minnesota Senate on Wednesday gave final approval to a comprehensive bipartisan reform package to increase protections for homeowners living in Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and Common Interest Communities (CICs).

From Minnesota Senate DFL:

On Wednesday, May 6, the Minnesota Senate passed a comprehensive, bipartisan package to improve and reform homeowners associations statute (SF 1750). Author Senator Susan Pha (DFL-Brooklyn Park) worked with hundreds of homeowners to shape this legislation, which will protect residents by increasing transparency and preventing conflicts of interest.

From Minnesota Reformer:

A bipartisan bill limiting homeowners’ association fees, implementing new transparency and conflict-of-interest rules and establishing a path to dissolve some HOAs passed the Minnesota Senate Wednesday. The bill (sf1750) now heads to Gov. Tim Walz’s desk for final approval.
