I’m probably out of blog writing for the day (it’s been a busy one!), but I wanted to end the day with a link that goes to the career page of the MN Dept. of Commerce as they begin their efforts to replace Joe LeBlanc, the short-lived HOA Ombudsman employee who recently left his position after only a few months on the job.
The Summary:
The Ombudsperson will:
• Facilitate the resolution of disputes between unit owners and associations through voluntary informal mediation.
• Compile and analyze complaints received to identify issues and trends.
• Maintain a website containing educational resources for HOA owners, tenants, and associations.
• Provide reports and recommendations to the legislative, as needed.
The Department of Commerce shared the description with me today and asked me to share it. If you know of someone who may be interested, forward this on to them. But tell them to think hard about it. Such a job will be a challenging one, in my humble opinion.
