We hit the summer solstice yesterday with the longest day of the year, an absolutely gorgeous day with blue skies and great temps. Today, we get to turn our attention to lighting up the lives of fathers everywhere.
My father passed 10 years ago, and I sure do miss him. Someone once told me that fathers are the glue that bind families together. And when they pass, they pass the glue to you. You could argue that mothers do the same thing — it’s hard not to agree.
But I’m proud to be a father myself, and my son and his oldest son (my grandson, the first of two!) are treating me to a “fly in breakfast” at a metro airport — complete with food trucks and fly-overs. It’ll be a great day of sky watching, and lighting up my own life.
On behalf the HOA Leadership Network, we wish all fathers a very happy Father’s Day!
